Go Loans

Hi all

Has anyone had any experience with this company? My credit rating is shocking and desperately need some money to get me out of a bit of a tight spot - They have said i've been accepted and I have to pay a lender fee

I know the usual story regarding the lender fee but i've been looking on the intenret and not found any horror stories about go loans - looking at their website they seem reputable but would love to hear from someone who has used them (good and bad)

Thanks for the help

If you are already aware of the lending/arrangement fee then why are you bothering to ask?

They don't actually lend any money to people, they just collect the arrangement fees and fob you off.

You might as well apply to Provident or a Payday loan company as they are the only people that you will be put in touch with.....

See this link here, people are talking about Go loans on this.http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=984483

(if the link dosn't show, just look on this forum for a thead titled 'loan scam')

Do not give out your bank details and do not pay any fee upfront.

hey kathiem how did u get on with go loans?? ive just been accepted for a loan through them, they said they will send papaerwork out first then if im happy i can ring up and pay admin fee. Feel a little cautious over this company... also been approved by wentworth but decided NOT to pay there fee because the bloke sounded like a right cowboy.

People who are desperate and who think that somehow borrowing even more money will help them out of a hole, when in most cases it merely leads to them digging deeper.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • Hi, I would just like to let everyone know that Go Loans from Austraila is not related too and does not have any affiliation to the Go Loans located in the UK. We have recieved emails from disgruntled customers of the UK Go Loans and therefore we can not assist them. The Aussie Go Loans can only organise finance in Australia. I hope the UK authorities can assist anyone who is expierencing difficulty with the Uk Go Loans.
  • I requested a refund back from go loans as they were no help at all with a loan (suprise suprise) I requested it on the 11th November 2009 they said it could take up to 16 weeks to refund the money but normally only takes a couple of weeks. to date I still haven't recieved my refund. I contacted them on Monday 1st march and they said systems were down and they couldnt do anything I was advised it would take a week to sort it out. I phoned today 10th March and again told systems are down and no refunds can be issued and it will be a week or so before its sorted and that the systems have been down since December and the IT department were dealing with it, i advised the woman on the other end of the phone that maybe a new IT department was needed or was i being fobbed and would never get me refund, she said she couldnt comment on when i would recieve my refund but that the accounts department would ring me to confirm my details when my refund was available. Please dont go to this company for a loan as they will only give you FLMs details and they need a guarantor even if you tell go loans you dont want a guarantor loan before you complete the aplication and they promise you they wont look into guarantor loans. Any advise on how i can get my money back would be appreciated.
  • Hi, the same thing exactly happened to me as did to debbied00. Right down to the faulty computer systems!! Last week I posted a letter by hand to their office in Borehamwood, looked a bit dodgy not sure there was anyone even in the building it is above a shop. I originally applied in September 2009. The only thing we can do now debbied is to go to the small claims court where costs can be added to the amount they owe, they took £55.99 from me. Thats even if they pay it back to you. Steer clear I say. I went to Wentworth as well, but at least they gave me my money back, but it was the same M.O.
