DMP useless. My world is falling apart

I've been with allclear finance since February and made £200.00 payments to them everytime I get paid. Strangely enough even now being nearly into May some of my creditors have heard nothing from them. On signing up with allclear finance I had 2 CCJs. Only today did I receive the court forms from allclear and guess what I have 2 court fees of £35.00 to pay. Before joining my DMP in February I had agreed to make 2 £10 payments to the courts which I made until joining. After that I just made my £200.00 payment to allclear and that was all. No-one told me that I still had to pay the courts! So now the baillifs will be seizing goods. They've already been round twice before.
Everything is just falling apart. I thought joining a DMP was the right thing to do but tbh it's made things so much worse.
I'm in tears because I'm so sick and tired of the DMP and endless calls and letters from creditors. I can't see any way out of this mess. I'm a total wreck right now. I've got no-one to help me. My parents won't help even though they know the situation. All they say is that they are disappointed in me.
I'm a failure. I'm only 22 yet life seems over already.
Jo.

The regulars on here know better. And I think they will advise that you drop Allclear (isn't that a dandruff shampoo?) and switch to CCCS or PayPlan.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

hi, sorry to hear your feeling so down, i hope things start to look up for you soon....
number one I am assuming that allclear finance are charging you for their wonderful services (not!!!!!).......Leave them now!!!!
Payplan and CCCS are free, they are there to help you get out of debt and not to make money! if you look at https://www.payplan.co.uk call them now and get some help to go on a DMP that will be there to help you, CCCS are similar and also for free (i am with payplan) but i hear from here that both are good.
Dont pay any more money to allclear finance the money they take out could be clearing your debt.
sure others will be able to help you even more on here....
big hugs0 -
i agree use Payplan or CCCS they will help and support you. I am with Payplan and have been for about 3 months all going well.
Keep posting you will get plenty of support on here.

Phone CCCS or PayPlan as soon as you can and tell them everything. I'm sure they'll have come across people in your situation before and will be able to help.
And ditch those flakey (dandruff-shampoo!) All Clear people like a poo-ey stick.
You're NOT a failure and you WILL get this back under control. Keep posting and peeps here will see you through.

Thank you for your supportive replies.
Yes they were charging a fee each month, about £35.00.
Before I signed up they were so helpful but as soon as I did they didn't really want to know.
I cancelled my DMP with allclear finance this evening.
PayPlan and CCCS seem to be very popular on this board so I think my next step will be to contact one of those companies.
Thank you all.

Well done......best decision you have made I am sure...
Have to say when I first read your post and saw your username.......I honestly thought one of my nephews had joined the forum.......but at least one of them is still at the 'I know what I'm doing' stage.........he doesn't but I suppose he'll learn......not through anythin we have to say mind:rolleyes:
My other nephew was with one of those DMP companies.....bless him.......he thought he was sorting things out for himself........didn't realise about the charges and his creditors hardly getting anything etc. Soon got sorted...my sister (AKA the Rottweiler...:D 'love ya really!!!!!) soon got rid of them and she's sorting it herself now....0 -
Hi RBKisses - you are not a failure :grouphug: . Im glad you have come on here though because you can get the support that you need from people that understand what you are going through. Things will get sorted eventually - you did what you thought was right. I hope you manage to get sorted out with payplan or cccs - sorry but I dont have any experince with them to give you advice. All the best and good luck:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

After crying most of last night I eventually fell asleep and woke up today feeling slightly more positive.
I contacted one of my creditors today (HFC Bank) and just out of interest asked what the outstanding balance was on my two accounts and guess what one is only £1549.45 instead of £5500.00 and the other is only £638.67 instead of £800.00. allclear finance had told me that they had contacted these creditors and the outstanding balance was the greater amount. In fact, allclear have never contacted them in regards to my account since I joined back in February. They made one payment (on April 7th) for the two accounts but because they had not contacted the creditor I found out no interest has been frozen and I am still being charged £15.00 a month in admin fees from my creditors.
This just confirms I have done the right thing by getting rid of this DMP with allclear finance.
They are a total joke.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
