Hadn't thought of that.
Is there a version that strips all those people out?
No, not that I'm aware of.
There are the ONS datasets on salary, and on household income, but I have yet to see a household income ONLY of households in full employment. In otherwords, of likely house buyers.
Thats why the crashaholics attempts to portray overall data as relevant to prices smacks of desperation.
Even they know it contains millions of households that will never be in the market to buy a house. Pensioners, council houses, benefits, etc.
However a real world example, of a lot of normal middle class people, potential housebuyers all, can actually be found in the survey at the top of this thread.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Here's what I came up for us, which is based on fact.
You are among the richest 1% in the population.
Your income is so high that you lie beyond the far right hand side of the chart.
Working for a MN Oil Co. I realise we are more than fortunate. However, I have worked in sh1tholes all over the world and have 25 years experience in my field. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
How many prole, low earners are interested in posting on a forum discussing economics?
The calculation isnt flawed, its published by the IFS !!!!!!!
Me!
What is a prole? We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I'm with you there.
I'm a socialist - from each what they can contribute and to each what they need - or something like that.
The problem is that the current system ignores the first bit.
Socialism has been a resounding failure all over the world.Capitalism protects the individual and allows everyone to flourish.0 -
