Sorry think I posted this in the wrong place the first time,
I requested my HP Statement from Welcome after a massive mix up when my car was stolen, my insurance company paid welcome without asking me if the settlement fee was ok and this messed up my shortfall insurance. Anyway I was sent a letter by welcome for my outstanding amount of £523.05 saying if I paid half they would consider that a final payment. On sending my cheque I requested a statement.
The statement has now arrived and I'm struggling to understand it, must be the early morning but looks like it's a big mess. Could someone help me understand this please?

I've just telephoned the Customer Relations Centre and the bloke on the phone said my account shows I owe £523.05 which means the cheque hasn't been cashed but has been delivered as I've traced it AND.... it's totally different from the statement they sent me today dated 20th August. He told me to try accounts on Monday as he couldn't maybe wouldn't help I did say the statement has obviously come from my account as he confirmed some of the payment!!!!..... Totally Confused now

Taking my balance to -1259.49 something is wrong the statement says they owe me over the phone I owe them. But how??0 -
it looks like they instead of taking the second cheque off have some how added it on later.
