    Hug to you Loopy,

What made hiom think his accountant dealt with it. He needs to rake through his paperwork and if there is any proof that his Acc did deal with it then I guess he can take steps to sue his accountant.

However, if he has no proof, and its cos hias heads been a bit in the sand, Im not sure there is much he can do. Did your OH believe that he had paid this 1200 to the employee?

Accounant did send letters to the Court informing them of gounds of appeal, but at the time i told him to speak to a solicitor, he said he didnt need to as the Accountant was dealing with it.The court never responded to the Accountant and a year later send this Order for Recvery Award.
    eek

How? One of the reasons for having a limited company is just that, it is limited liability. You need a pretty good argument to get the director personally but then it does appear that no one defended the case so the judge hasn't much option but to agree with the plaintiff if they have any legal basis for a case.
