Cheapest CBT in London?!

Hi, I am trying to find a place, where I can do my Compulsary Bike Training (CBT). It ought ot be in London and ideally cost less than 100.00 (incl bike, as I do not have a bike yet!). Sick and tired of LT and time to move on... literally ;-)

Any suggestions much welcome... thanks

I personally recommend Beacon Riders www beaconriders co uk They are based at Apsley just outside Hemel Hempstead, there CBT is on a disused Air Field.

They charge £100 for CBT and then you've got your train fare from Euston to consider around £17.

I'd also go straight for my restricted licence as you'll need to renew your CBT in two years.

Hopefully your considering a second hand bike as they lose so much money over the first year.

thanks Keith. I think to get a second hand bike (125cc scooter) in the region of £ 400 - 600. However, still hoping to get the test (CBT) done for less than £ 100 (which should include the use of a bike). If anyone else had any expience of doing the test cheaper than 100.00, please post here...

Hi Oranabana - I know what you mean about paying £130 odd or even £100 quid for what is essentially a boring prefunctionary government regulatory hoop.

I am going to one on Tuesday w w w betterbiking ne.t for £90 - for which they give me a bike to train on, a helmet, gloves and so on.

It is close to terminal 4 at Heathrow - It says on their website that this price is a summer sale so check it out before you book (as I'm sure people would anyway)

Hi there guys,

There is a CBT school in East London called 1 Stop Instruction.

They do CBT training for only £99, which is the cheapest CBT in London.

i done my training there not so long ago, and it was great. Would recommend them, and am going back there to do my full motorbike licence soon.
