My H has some work shirts that he has curry stains on (Friday night ritual) and ive tried everything to get them off, the only thing ive not tried is bleach!
Can you put a tiny bit of bleach in the washing machine to try and get rid?
Im not bothered if it ruins the shirts as it looks like i will have to throw away if i can't anyway (although im loathed to as they are nice shirts!!)
Just wondered if anyone has any better ideas?
Tried nearly every stain removal product on the shelf, will it be that ingrained after so many washes that I have no hope??

napisan, in the baby aisles at the supermarket, very mild bleach type thing but if you soak them over night and then put the liquid in the machine with the wash you should see resultsNonny mouse and Proud!!
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!!

Have you tried baby wipes? It may not work as shirts have already been washed but worth a try. I also use Ace bleach but sometimes you have to soak the stained bit for several days before it fades. No need to soak the whole shirt, just the stained area in a small bowl or mug.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

A good splash of bleach in a bowl of water, with an overnight soak should do the trick......If not Id buy your OH a bib ........

If i've got really stubbon stains on white tops i soak then in a bucket of water with bleach for about a day. Then i wash them on a hot wash with a good scoop of vanish. That was the only thing that got the printer ink ( after the school ran out of paint ) out of Ds1's school tops.0

I have not tried this on other stains but I do know that hairspray will remove permanent felt tip marks from fabric. Just put a bit of kitchen towel under the stain and soak it with the hairspray then wash - seems the polymers in the hairspray 'grab' the stain.Mags - who loves shopping0

I would lay the shirt on the work top, add a little bleach with a cotton bud, rub gently and rinse as soon as the stain disappears. Then wash as normal.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0
