How's this for good news. Just rang my mortgage company as I knew our fixed deal was coming to end. I knew we would be slightly better off but can't believe our payment will go down from £1227 pmnth to £684 pmnth. We had a shortfall on our SOA of £174 which I was trying to claw back. This will make life so much easier. It's going to be a great weekend!!:beer:

Anyway enjoy the feeling but don't spend it all!!! Get overpaying those debts! If you keep keep your spending at current levels (well lower still make those changes recommended on your SoA) then you will have a massive amount to get off your debts and can bring forward your debt free date.

DO NOT get into the habit of having extra money in your pockets! Interest rates could go back up, be prepared, use this lucky break to get yourself sorted and in a stable position while you can.
