Change of circumstances after lila bankruptcy

Hi guys was wondering if anyone has any info or experience of this, i was delcared bankrupt in may 09 through the lila bankruptcy route in scotland, then i was on income support and carers allowance and staying alone in a council property , now my boyfriend has moved in this week and i lose all my income support, so will the accountant in bankruptcy take his wages into account and my carers allowance, the only thing is can see is on the aib website is that they may take other members of the household money into account for bankruptcy, but i am not sure wether that means before the bankruptcy is granted or the year after bankruptcy is awarded as it says on award notice you need to tell them of any changes in circumstances. I am so mixed up about this as i feel i cant expect boyfriend to pay any money towards my debts that i had even before i met him, any info would be great before i phone up the aib and let them know.

My thinking would be only tell the OR if you feel you need to.

They're not going to take his money from him to add to your bankruptcy anyway, the way it would work is that they would calculate the household expenses taking into account the new income too and perhaps YOU may have a little bit more spare at the end of each month - it's only YOUR money they're interested in!

for example (in really easy numbers)

    house hold income: £1000
    (you 500
    boyf 500)

    household expenses: 800

    Disposable Income: £1000 - 800 = £200

You have £100 to offer towards BR...

Your Boyf now contributes towards the household income but the expenses of the household have now increased. YOUR Disp Inc may have changed. (I hope this is clear).

I also lila br in April. I was in similar circumstances to you. In June I started a reasonably well paid job and I informed them. They have not asked for any money from me.
