Looking to get a wireless router for a friend. Anyone know of any good deals at the moment? Doesn't need to be amazing.

Get one with a new BT Broadband connection only £25 or thereabouts if ordered via internet.0

She's with telewest and may consider changing to Talk Talk but that's about it. It would certainly be a lot more expensive to spend £25 a month just to get the free wireless router.0

The problem is, of course, that your friend will need a completely different router depending on whether she goes for the cable versus landline approach. She really needs to make that decision before looking at the router purchase.
However, for what it is worth, the LINKSYS - SPEEDBOOSTER 125g ROUTER AND USB ADAPTER is available from PC World for £49.99 and would be suitable for a cable connection. The ADSL version is currently £64.99 but PC World's offers change around a lot so the ADSL one might be reduced again soon.
Can't vouch for the quality on either though as I am still using my antique router 802.11b router that I got 3 years ago. Works perfectly and is all you need for normal internet browsing. She could probably pick one of these up on ebay for next to nothing these days.

Definitely go for the Linksys offer in PC World if you can make use of the free USB adapter.
The £49.99 deal is for a USB adapter together with a WRT54GS. This works for cable providers such as NTL, Telewest and any other ISP that gives you an ethernet modem. The WRT54GS is a superb piece of kit not least because it has open source firmware allowing you to do interesting things that other brands would not allow.
For ADSL connections that don't already have an ethernet modem you need the more expensive option. You get an all-in-one ADSL modem and wireless router.
