CCJ help

Hi everyone
I have recently reciaved a copy of my credit report and it says I have no CCJ's etc and I have succesfully applied for a mortgage, credit cards etc, however I am worried that I may have one from an address that is not listed as an associated address from when I was a student four years ago (we did not pay any bills for 12 months). I am currently going for a job in finance and will need to be security cleared / fully credit clean. If I have not reciaved any notification of a CCJ and it is not on my credit file (remember they dont seem to know that I was living at the student address) could I have still have a CCJ or somthing similar when the security firm checks that address? Or do CCJ's automaticaly find you via.... and put it on your credit file so I would defo be clean and the debt must have been written off?
Any advice / help much appreciated as quite stressed about it.

I know nothing about CCJs as I've never had one, but I have worked in finance all my life, and been 'checked' by various employers. Ordinarily a check by employers will simply be a search of your credit file, so if that is OK, you should be fine
Have you checked your file with all 3 CRAs - just in case the (potential) CCJ is showing on one of the others?

Iv just checked with eqifax so far, so will get on to the others now. Although my credit file is clean I am worried that when they search on my previous addresses, the one that is not on my credit file will flag up these unpaid debts and link it to my credit report.
Hopefully just stressing about nothing but I am still waiting for clearance and meant to start next week after handing in my notice with my present employer.0 -
They'll do a standard credit check, and probably not a lot more. If you give them an address that isn't on your credit report, they *might* query it with you, but I doubt they'd do a seperate search on it - they'd probably just assume that you had no credit whilst living there tbh. Their checks are not as extensive as you'd think
What kind of job is it that you are going for? Unless it is for something like chancellor of the exchequer (and probably not even then ) they'll just be looking for basic confirmation that you're not ridiculously bad with money - and will trust a normal credit check, without looking any further.Highest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300Debt Free - August 2006!!
