aww loupuloulou - what a lot to happen on one day . I hope kitty is alright and your Grandad. Try to think positively about your shopping budget and as far as your salary increase goes, fingers crossed I hope it is enough to make a impact on your debts - no matter how small:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

:grouphug: Chin up loopyloulou!
Sounds like an horrendous start to the day.
First off - about the payrise - don't be negative before time. What you need to think is that even 5p more an hour will make more of a dent than what you're currently on. The size of the impact is what's at stake, there'll be an impact anyway.
As far as the shopping goes, why not take £100 cash out at the start of the month and then you won't be tempted to overspend - if it's not there to spend, then you won't (and can't) ... if you know what I mean
sorry to hear about your granddad - and the cat. Fingers crossed for both of them.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0 -

thanks all
feel better now i have calmed down!
saw grandad and he is looking well and in good spirts all things considered.
cat is still very poorly and i dont hold out much hope for him, poor little boy, he is only a baby and feel sad still keeping everything crossed for him. i would gladly forget the payrise and have the mog back to full health, kind of puts things in perspective when family and pets are ill.
lets just hope when (and if!) payrises are announced that they cheer me up a little0
