NuSmile Titanium Dental Implants - The Hospital Group

I have had to have one of my front teeth removed due to a problem with the root canal work I had done and currently have a partial denture. Of course, I have a lot of healing to do but am hopeful I will be able to have an implant in the near future. I have considered a bridge but am loathe to go down this route as I don't want to risk losing more of my teeth - ones bad enough:eek:!
I've been researching into implants and for recommendations of dentist so that when the time comes I'll be able to start the treatment as soon as my gums/bones have healed.
Had anyone heard of or has any experience of 'NuSmile Titanium Dental Implants'? These are offered by The Hospital Group cosmetic surgery people (so any good or bad comments about these would be welcome too!).
From what I understand having implants is a long process however on their website they claim a mini implant can be done within 30 minutes and the denture fitted to it the same day - does this sound to good to be true???
Like I said, any help or advise anyone can give would be great - thanks!

Mini implants are more often used to help stabilise a denture than to build up a new tooth onto - which I think is what you're after.
In some mouths they can be used as supports for a tooth, but they can be less reliable than 'proper' implants.
When the time comes, the best person to sort you out with a reliable place to get your implants done would be your own dentist. He will have one or two 'trusted' people to whom he will refer patients. That would be safer than finding your own place. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Sorry to intrude here but I am too going through dental work at the moment and am finding it quite traumatic.
I noticed that you mention that you may need to have another tooth removed if you have a bridge fitted. Why is this?0 -
Also, how do you find the partial denture? I am really scared about having to wear one in case it's uncomfy and falls out. I've spoken to the dentist about it but I can tell he only tells me stuff to try and reassure me that his way is the best way.0
