how easy is it to dye satin shoes

hi ya ive decided to dye my daughters shoes and was just wondering how easy is it , i found this online http://www.dancesport.uk.com/shoes/dyeing.htm
is this an ok way to do it , although i think i would need to put more salt in to fix the colour xx

The shoes wont be a problem, however you do need to think about the thread used for sticthing as that can often not take the dye. Obviosuly it wont matter if no stitching is on show.

thanks ive just looked at the shoes and there is a some stitching around the top of the shoe but i dont really think it would spoil the look as its a very fine line of stitching
the shoes were only from ebay and were very cheap so i`ll try them this week and if goes wrong then back to ebay i go lol
