Help needed with old debts

Hi,

I have 3 old debts that i defaulted on back in 2004/2005.
I arranged a montly payment plan and after about 2 years when checking my credit report, the debts appeared to be handled through another company. I spoke with them and they only know about 1 of them, which is a small amount, the others they had no knowledge of.
I stopped the monthly payments and for the last 2/3 years i have not made any further payments.

This week i recieved a final demand for 1 of the debts (a few hundred pounds), first contact in 2 years. On checking my credit report again, all 3 of these debts still show as being handled by the same company.

Does anyone know how i can find out who is handling these debts or whether 2 of them may have been written off by the bank what with the credit crisis etc.
Or, are they just pursuing 1 debt to see if anything happens, then pounce for the remainder !!

Ring and ask?
Both the original creditor and the other company. One way or another you'll get an answer.

or whether 2 of them may have been written off by the bank what with the credit crisis etc.
