Leaving Tesco during training

Hello, i applied for a full time job at Tesco the month before last, i passed the interview but they could only offer me part-time, i accepted anyway as it was better than being on the dole.
I've been training the odd day for the past 3 weeks but thats it, i haven't started my contracted hours yet...meanwhile i have just been offered a full time job elsewhere which i simply can't pass up. But the new company need me to start on Monday!
Do i have to give notice at Tesco's? My friend said theres a 3 month probationary period where i can quit without notice and they can sack me without notice, is that right?
Who do i ring to quit as they no longer give out store numbers it goes straight to a call centre.

Ditto above, write a letter of resignation, go and speak to your manager in store and hand it to them personally. But your terms of employment will be in your contract which you should have.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0

There is no store to go in to because they're moving to a new building0

Yeah I'm still going to make sure they have it in writing as well.0

The handbook is stating their statutory right to receive notice from you - which kicks in at one month's service, otherwise it is none. They could have provided for longer notice in your contract (that is what is written in the documentation provided) but it seems that they stick with the statutory minimum.0
