Thinking of applying for a mortgage between now and a years time. The money I have saved over the years is spread amongst several Cash ISA's and savings accounts. What is the best way to handle the ISA's? Simply close them and transfer the money into one pot or keep them open with a £1 in? I don't think I'll ever use them again as I fill contribute to a stocks and shares ISA at the moment and plan to for a while.
