Grumble!

Just when you think you're doing well...

My car is due its 40,000 mile service on Monday. Still within its warranty so I have to take it to the Citroen dealer. Booked it in and was told it will cost £350 as it's the first 'major' service!

So this month, not only will I not be paying off my debts, I'll be adding to my credit card!

Not really much I can do about it as it could be much more expensive in the long run to lose the warranty! Just wanted to have a grumble and knew you wouldn't mind! Isn't it annoying when something big like this comes up?!

On the plus side, look how much of my debt is gone in two months! :j

Like you say mate, say something expensive goes on the car the garage will see you have not stuck to your part of the agreement regarding the servicing and will not pay, so while its annoying paying what I think is a ridiculous amount its worth it in the long run :D

Oh and well done at getting your debt down by a big chunk in a small time :T

  • Isn't it annoying that garages seem to always have you by the short and curlies. Like you say, will be worth it in the long run. Just checked you signature out and very well done in what you've acheived in two months. By the looks of it this "little setback" shouldn't hold you back for too long!!

Under block exemption laws you do NOT have to have your car serviced by a main dealer to keep the warranty valid.

They have to use proper parts and be VAT registered. That's it.

When I needed my car serviced the garage I took it to said this, so I phoned Citroen to check and they told me this, saved me a fortune!
