I bought four packets of jus roll ready made pastry in my tesco shop and i've just discovered that my husband has put them in the cupboard! They're supposed to be kept chilled. I've now put them in the fridge but do you think that they are ok to use or should i throw them away? They were in the cupboard for about a day and a half. I hate to waste food so i'm reluctant to throw them away but i don't want to make everyone ill or spoil the taste of the pies either.

How hot has it been with you? If it hasn't been really hot then I would be inclined to still use them, presumably the part of the pastry which need refrigerating is the fat and you can leave butter on the side and its OK...
I have my shopping delivered by Somerfield and I bought some yoghurts for the kids the other week which were in a box and had been put in the wrong box for delivery and so not refrigerated. They weren't delivered until the following day, so were out of the fridge for around 30 hours. I was a bit worried (I know I should have complained but it was a very busy day!) but they were absoloutely fine.0 -

I think i might stick a thermometer in the cupboard and see what it says. On the packet it says it should be chilled below 5 degrees so if it's not much more than that i'll use it.0 -
I'd open one packet and sniff it to see if it is ok. I'm sure you will know by the smell whether or not it is edible.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
