Hi All me again,
A lot has happened since I began thinking about going BR. I am now a single mum of 3, on IS and getting HB and CTC.
All of the council debts were put in my name on newly found singledom and plus I have numerous other debt collection agencies chasing me including them calling my neighbours and asking for info about me! But hey, is all my own fault.
Now I am on benefits will I still get a payment thing over the 3 years and also I cannot remember what debts that I have as they have been aquired over a long period, will this matter? Will my council tax owing to the council also be included and also the rent in advance they lent me to get this house?
I also have a car that is reg to dvla in my name but belongs to the ex and he can prove this with a receipt from the private seller and also the amount for the car came out of his bank account. I need the car as suffer from panic attacks going out on my own (even with the kids). What will be said about this?
I know the questions are poor ones but they are worrying me no end.
I really had hoped to of been BR by now but circumstances have changed now end!
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for your replies

Your council tax should be added to your BR providing your ex wasn't named on them. Your car should be safe if it doesn't belong to you but nothing is certain with cars and BR.Hi All me again,

Thanks hun, he was on one of the old CT bills, so they would go after him for that?fiveyearplan wrote: »Your council tax should be added to your BR providing your ex wasn't named on them. Your car should be safe if it doesn't belong to you but nothing is certain with cars and BR.
Can anyone else give me any advice please?Wins This Year - 2/1 Dog coat.

If he was on the bill then they would probably go after him for that one however if they took him off the old bill and put it in your name (I'm not that clear from your post if that is what has been done) then he might get away with it.

His name was on one of the bills so I imagine they will go after him for it, so would they dis-associate me from it?fiveyearplan wrote: »If he was on the bill then they would probably go after him for that one however if they took him off the old bill and put it in your name (I'm not that clear from your post if that is what has been done) then he might get away with it.
You seem quite knowledgable, can you help with any of my other questions?
Thanks againWins This Year - 2/1 Dog coat.

If your sole income is benefits then you won't get an IPA Will my council tax owing to the council also be included and also the rent in advance they lent me to get this house? All provable debts will be included (not sure about the rent in advance though!)

Yes, thank you. I have learnt a lot about debt issues over the past few years, mainly from this site. Knowledge is power - read, read, read everything you think relates to your situation. His name was on one of the bills so I imagine they will go after him for it, so would they dis-associate me from it?

Excellent advice and thank you once again. Just one more question, does it matter if I cannot remember all the debts? Do I just write on the form the ones I can remember?fiveyearplan wrote: »Yes, thank you. I have learnt a lot about debt issues over the past few years, mainly from this site. Gusetimates will be ok.....your bankruptcy is published in the London Gazette this then gives ANY creditor you had remember or not chance to contact the receiver dealing with your case
