Cover up make up that would cover stretchmarks?

Options
Can anybody recommend a good cover up cream/make up?

My daughter will be one of my bridesmaids. She had put a lot of weight on (which she has now lost but has been left with big red stretch marks on the her underarms.

She is understandably embarrassed by them and isn't keen on wearing anything that reveals her underarms. So that rules out almost every style of bridesmaids dress i've looked at.

I know a bolero would be one solution but I don't want her to have to wear that in the evening when she's up dancing etc

Any suggestion?

  • After my 2 daughters (20 months apart) who are 3 and 22 months and both hefty weights (9lb 7oz and 59cm long) I have been left with bad streth marks. I was only a size 10 to start with but a 14 now!

I have been left with stretch marks all over, calves the lot, I have used a sunbed and/or fake tan which reduces them. \i have found this my best option tbh.

I have slapped on Bio Oil religiously to no avail, but everyone is different, try the fake tan route!

Good luck tho, Im sure she will look fab!

I know there is a special make up that was originally for use in covering facial birthmarks but I can't remember the name of it and was hoping someone would know?

We will all be getting a spray tan so i'm hoping that will help a bit and then maybe a concealer with powder to set it?

My kids were all big babies and I was covered in stretchmarks after my oldest ones were born but They've all faded now. So I do understand how DD feels as she's only 18

How about camouflage make up? She may need to touch it up throughout the day but it may help? http://www.garden.co.uk/php/browseCategory.php?cat=551&catClr=

    Hi,

Try dermablend. I think it is heavy enough to cover birthmarks so may work on stretch marks and is waterproof. Think you can buy off their website. I had this years ago to cover a tattoo on my ankle and I had to mix quite a bit to get the right shade. You could still see some of the tattoo but it was quite good.

    Hope this helps.

  • what about a lace bolero or crotched so its light enough for her to keep it on all day if she is still aware of them. ive got stretch marks on my upper ams, shoulders and back and whilst they have faded there is no way i would be comfortable wearing anything strapless or that didnt cover up my back.
