I want ...an IPOD Dock

I would like to connect up my new ipod Nano to my stereo (aux port) so that I can listen to my back catalogue without having to change CDS or dig out old copies etc. Also I would like to try and start downloading (legally) music files so I can cut down the cost of buying and storing cds. My girlfriend has a video ipod, so I would like to buy a universal dock that I can simply connect to my stereo and then plug in my ipod.
I have seen the universal dock on Apples website but it is a little pricey at £25, have any MSE's got any advice, i.e. alternative but just as effective products?
Any advice would be most welcome.
