To the OP, you may have missed no payments, not made any late payments, have no ccj's or defaults - that doesnt mean your credit 'file' will necessarily be squeaky clean.

Mistakes happen, information is recorded incorrectly, information is sometimes missing, you might have been missed from the electoral register... any number of human mistakes can reduce your credit file from squeeky clean to down right dirty

Once lenders start making multiple searches your credit worthyness reduces, before you let anyone search your credit file, check it yourself first for mistakes - it can save time and heartache later on.

You could get turned down because of mistakes on your file, but by the time you have realised that, multiple searches could have genuinely marred your credit file.

Well done on paying off your student loan and saving your deposit, either set your sights lower in terms of house price or keep saving - goodluck.
