Hello all
I only have internet access at work and there are retrictions to what sites I can visit. so help with that in mind would be great.
want a car loan, around £3500, but haven't the foggiest where to go to find a good deal.
Work for a council (reason explained why the restictions) and been told to speak to Credit Union, read up on this site regarding them but want to make sure I'm not missing some possible better options that maybe out there. also I have to be in it for 3 months. (Car head gasket on its way out) so this maybe out before I start.
not in debt, don't have any other loans, and I don't spend more than I earn.
looking at a 3 year term.
10-1 I've missed something else you clever people will think of asking.

As long as you earn enough and the loan is affordable you should be able to get a loan of that amount.
Ironically the fact that you don't have any debt might count against you!
Best thing would be to apply to your own bank or building society and see what they can offer. Then use a search engine like money supermarket to see if you can get a lower APR rate for a 3 year loan.
Be very careful if you get a quote from a car dealer that you are looking at the APR - they often quote an annual interest charge which is very different - and a lot lower than the APR which is the effective cost of borrowing.
Good luck
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
