What to do now??

I have let my DH move out today, some things have happened and i am not sure i can ever see him in the same light.
I have my first proper app with CAB next thursday, i gave them all my details and i have to go see what they suggest, but now all that will be useless, they wanted both our income and expenditure, obviously i am going to have to leave it for a week or 2 to see if we get back together as you never know i might get my head round things, but if we dont i have checked and think i am entitled to child tax credits and possibly job seekers as i would have to be looking for work...i dont know the situation with having kids and not workin anymore, but it looks like i will be on a lot less than when i first thought i had to go BR....life sucks

  • BCLJNK,

Hope you are doing ok. Having read your post, was you going to see CAB re br? If so, I would keep your appt as BR isn't something you can do jointly, it is a personal thing so you will still need to put together your SOA etc regardless of whether you are together or not.

They can also help you with applying for all your benefits and give you lots of differrent advise.

Good luck in what ever you decide to do.

Hi, thanks for replying, i am still going to see about BR as it was only me going BR anyway, it just cocks everything up re what my income will be.
If anyone can help re what benefits they think i may get, i have 3 kids at home and an 18 year old who is going back to college in sept, live in a council house.
    thanks

  • Hi,

You should get Housing benefit, council tax benefit, income support as well as yr child ben and yr child tax credits. The HB & CTB will take a few weeks to process but it will start from the date you got forms.
