Money from family query?

When you are an undischarged BR, if your family wish to give you any money as a gift to help you out with general living costs while you are looking for work, do you have to inform the OR?
Does the OR monitor your post BR bank account?
Any advice appreciated as always

hi they do not monitor your bank account, but could in theory ask for statements later if they wanted to. Technically if your family gifts you money the OR would want to know, but practically if they are helping you pay for living costs then this is not going to provide an IPA so the OR won't be interested. I would think of it as that they are not giving you money but that they are giving money to Asda,British Gas, Shell etcHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0
