CSCS test, I made a big mistake.

Hello. A cscs test is a health and safety test which gets you a card required for construction work.

Im out of work and skint. I decided to book the test online which costs £17.50 for the test then an additional £24 for the card, total: £41.50.

The first site i came to was QUICKSTARTUK.CO.UK, this is my problem. They charged me £45, i thought that included everything but all they did was ring up and book the test for me, which cost £17.50, and keep the rest.

Now I have to spend an extra £24 to make up the rest. This is a flipping disgrace.

The website obviously plays on peoples lack of knowledge, alot of new comers to the UK come to this site, polish etc, and they need cscs cards and these guys are ripping people off. I mean all they do is pick the phone up and make a booking.

At the moment im !!!!ed off im sure nothing can be done about it. It aint fair.

Does anyone else share my anger? :mad:

I've just looked into this and you've been scammed......

It is quite clear that there is a £27.50 admin charge.

Health and Safety Test - £45 includes standard course fee (£17.50) & test centre / admin charge £27.50

Can you cancel at all? Or have you already sat the H&S test?

If they make it clear there's an admin charge then there's nothing you can do...unfortunately you've just learnt very painfully that you should always read the small print...sorry

Where I live the job centre are very happy to pay for this certificate at the moment.
If you paid with a credit card cancel it and go through the job centre.

Ty for your replies. I booked the test 2 weeks ago, did the test yesterday and passed it, then rang quickstartuk to see when i could get my card and they where like ermmm... what card?
