    Hi thanks all

    mmmmm dont understand that really because i explained everything about me being the director etc and she said there was not a problem. Maybe because we would only need about a 70% mortgage and they class the council discount as a good deposit ???

    You have nothing to lose by asking for clarification from your would be mortgage lenders. You live where you want to buy and nobody is going to change that.
    If you stay where you are will you qualify for a bigger discount in time ?
    Boost your savings over time, establish your business records, and make the mortgage company a less significant factor.
