Children left money in will - Help

My children have been left some money in my Aunts will. The executor - a cousin - has decided that the money should be distributed as bonds to my kids and her other great nieces and nephews. I don't want these, they're not a good investment and it's not what my Aunt would have wanted either. Can he do this?

If you look round and see something you feel is better suited could you not talk it through with him.
