L&G after early redemption-12 months late!

I redeemed a mortgage with Legal and General in July 05. Now they are chasing for an early redemption fee they forgot to add when the mortgage was discharged. I had assumed that this charge had already been included - I did not get a copy of the the final statement.
Has anyone else had this problem?

You should have paid it and you will need to pay it. You could ask them for a repayment schedule or perhaps a discount considering the delay and inconvenience.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Check on your deeds (via the land registry site for £2) whether they still have a charge on your property.
