Out of date part baked baguettes

Hiya!

I am wanting to make soup and baguettes for lunch today, and have just noticed that the baguettes are dated 05/08/09. I am not fussy at all regarding best before dates...generally just go off looks and smell, but seeing as the kids will be eating too, I just wanted to check I am not going to poison them lol

They look fine by the way, they are in a sealed packet, and there does not appear to be any mould growing. They are the type that are part baked and just need finishing off in the oven. Will they be safe to eat?

Hope someone can help X
