and i have been lookin on ebay cause i think there is loads of stuff i can sell
It is amazing how much stuff that you no longer need can make onlinea sort of come dine with me but with my friends thus meaning i get to socialise and it wont cost too much
That's inspired! I may have to steal this idea!i get bord very easy since my partner left
That's totally understandable. You've clearly already got a good bunch of friends, so a bit of 'you time' might be a good thing as well (and maybe just a little cheaper).0 -
ok so had a good day at work and a no spend day too !! not one penny !! i made pasta bake from stuff in my kitchen cuboards also tryed to limit my cigs to three a day it wasnt too pain full !!
so i was sat at work thinking how im gonna clear this i would like to say before im thirty but as thats 4 months away not a chance !! but i have 16 months till im 31 so i worked out at 740 a month i could have cleared it by then so thats my goal !! whoo i love a challenge so we will see !!
ohh my mum came round as well she reminded me of all the stuff at her house i have ! so i am gonna sell that aswell !!

also i have some rolls of wall paper left over but i dont have the reciept i wonder if they would swap it at homebase ?? i could do with some paint for the bathroom well another thing to do on my days off !!0 -
Welcome to diaryland!
There is loads of wiggle room in your diary - I think the first thing to address is the smoking as 30 is the age when it starts being a lot more harmful, and us ladies start worrying about wrinkles. If it's social smoking just stop buying cigarettes. Simply don't take money to work or visit the corner shop where you normally pick them up.
The other thing to address is the food as you are spending £285 a month (eating out, food at home, food for work) which is £3400 a year! If you stayed in a little more often and bought a slow cooker you could prepare cheap and tasty meals in bulk which would do lunches and dinners.
Between shopping for fun and new clothes you are spending £110 a month or £1300 a year with probably nothing to show for it except a bulging wardrobe. If you have time on your hands to shop, you have time to list stuff you don't wear on eBay, making some extra income and clean your own flat saving another £40!!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
thanks firefox i think the food is a big one so i have made food for work again today !! i work better with bugets so i think im going to be tough and give myself a £80 buget for the month this is going to be interesting but lets see if i can live without organic !
and my spending is excessive but i work in retail !! and the shops call me as i walk by ! although working in retail does help me as i never buy anything full price !! i am always around when sales are on and i get free shoes for work .
i think i just need to do a capsual wardrobe quite funny really i spend all day dressing people and advising them on outfitting and i dont take my advice !!
and yes i will spend the next three days ebaying !!
ohh and i bought a slow cooker ages ago never used it do you have any good recipies ?? i love to cook just never had the time but im gonna be spending more time at home so i can start enjoying it again!!
smoking well i did kick the habit two years ago but when i get back with my ex i started again so im sure now hes gone i can quit ! i borrowed a friends book last time, i quit with in twenty four hours carnt remember the name of it ???
well im on for a no spend day today !!!0 -
well not quite a no spend day went to tescos on the way home and spend £1.97 the cheepest shop ever ! a bottle of milk and some potatoes and parnsip and a bargain bag of spring greens for 10P on there reduced section .
so i am gonna cook chestnut bake.
i looked on bbc food for a recipe with chestnuts in them as i have two jars in the back of my cubboard (definatly an impulse buy!!) and the potatoes are for the curry im making tonight i love jamacan food i spend a fortune in the resturant near me !so i got the recipe from jamaca .com it smells lush !0 -
There is an excellent thread on the Old Style board about slow cookers and recipes. For shopping there is a simple answer - no cards or cash on your person when you are at work. Feels strange to begin with but you get used to it very quickly!!
Smoking ... so you quit before you know 100% you have the power to do it again!! :j I would say you need to think on why you started again and avoid that same situation happening again. Many people say Allen Carr works like a charm, if not try Gillian Riley.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
thanks fire fox allen carr thats the book i read last time!!

a bargain bag of spring greens for 10P on there reduced section
I love spring greens (even if it is just shredded green cabbage!) They're delicious with a little knob of butter, black pepper and a little cinammon/nutmeg.
Congratulations on the change jar - my GF and I cashed our one in at the weekend and got a very healthy £73 out of it, which is going straight in an ISA0 -
ohh might try the nutmeg!! i have mine steamed in chicken stock garlic ,onion chilli seeds if you like ginger but im not keen !
put the cash in the bank all helps with the over draught!! i went to the shop got some food for this week all buyone get one free or half price or on the reduced section. Decided not to have kfc so i made it myself and wedges just as good and i had the stuff at home

ohh also been looking on the hamper thread got loads of ideas for bday prezzies and xmas only four paydays away !! luckly i bought a couple of things for prezzies in boots sale in january ive been using them for bday prezzie throughout the year !! so im gonna have to write a list so i know what im looking for
i maynot be good at saving but i am good at spending anything you want i can find cheeper !! thats why i spend most of my dinner breaks shopping for other people my family use me as a personal shopper service !! i dont mind i love finding a bargain !! so i just have to use my powers for good not evil ! hehe0
