lol, you two have me doing this .. :rotfl:.

OK how about this, you are both right.:D

Lets just RE PHRASE what you are both saying.

The PWC is only getting maintenance for the child they have between them, yes? if there was no child there would be no maintenance payable. the PWC would be entitled to nothing (as, if there was no child then she wouldnt be a PWC would she lol:rotfl:) ok i'll stop ar sing about now.

So CM is paid to the PWC but it is for the maintaining of the child, so the money is for PWC to maintain the child every month. and if you think about it the money for this has to go to the PWC because the bills cant be paid by the child even if PWC wanted to do it that way, the child doesnt pay the gas, electric and doesnt do the weekly food shop etc.
another thought, if you think about the amount per month you pay, take out of the equation how handy it would be for you to keep and ask yourself what the PWC spends on the child every month there is probably very little if anything left over. If you have a child living in your house how much do you spend on this child per month? think about it, it racks up. school trips, central heating on more when their sick, central heating goes on as soon as they get in from school until 6.30pm when mum comes home from work (I should know:pone of my tricks shhhhhh)

Right, so stop it both of you, you are both right:)

Many thanks for your thoughts and contributions over the weekend. This subject obviously stirs up a lot of emotions. Kellogs36 it is good to see that you got the money eventually - and Blob I take on board completely the point about writing to the CSA. I just cannot see in my case how they will get anywhere - he has no house, no assets, no money (in the bank) and as mentioned has already chucked one job with the stated intention of not paying any money and is threatening to do the same now. This has been going on for years and will rumble on and on methinks. I can't believe that arrears can get to the level they have - basically at the moment he is not even paying the basic maintenance so the arrears are accruing every month. I think the CSA is preparing to go to court - as I mentioned earlier I had to fill in a form last week so I think I will write to them at the end of the week asking for a timescale and what they are planning.
