Advice on SmileSavers (Hungary) dentists please!

I really want to have my teeth sorted out and have been looking at Smilesavers (Hungary) online. I think I need a decent bit of work done (my own dentist is quoting me £4000 but I don't like her and I don't really trust her). I think I need an implant for a side tooth and cleaning/polishing etc . The referrals on the site seem good but, really, that doesn't mean a lot to me and I would be more comfortable knowing someone else on this site had used this or a comparable company . Any help at all would be appreciated please

Problem is if something goes wrong (and like all medical procedures it might) You cant just hop on a plane and go back.
Also if you have implants placed any UK dentist will have no idea what system was used and maintenance might be impossible. They are not all interchangeable.

I would be very very careful and understand you are taking a calculated risk.
If something goes wrong here you have the ability to go back to the practice to get it sorted, you have UK regulation on your side etc.
If you dont trust your dentist then regardless of what you choose to do at this point in your life you should find another. It is very important that you trust your doctor dentist vet etc etc If you dont then you absolutely should go elsewhere. i am just not sure Hungary is where to go :rolleyes:

they dont do implants though. bangor west dental and implant clinic have a great reputation

I do not know about Smilesavers but please don't go with BHMS. I have had on -going problems which they try to deny. I had implants placed by them a year ago and I am still in pain. I went for a scan which i paid for and was told I have infection and a cyst. The company are denying they are responsible. It is a nightmare for me which means I now have to pay out remedial work in this country. :eek: It was never worth it. I have already spent over £10,000. I can suggest a dentist in this country who is resonable I am going to get him to do my remedial work. Email me for his details.

We would like to set the record straight regarding Mandy_44’s comments as there are two sides to every story.
The truth is that we investigated the complaint on numerous occasions throughout Mandy_44’s treatment; we have x-rays to prove it and do not agree with her analysis. Several dentists and implantologists have examined her during treatment and there was no cause for concern at that time.
Since Mandy_44’s treatment has been completed, she has complained and we have asked that she come to see us so we can further investigate. She procrastinated and then cancelled her appointment and chose to go to a different dentist. We have not been given the opportunity to establish the problem for ourselves. Mandy_44 has not sent us the scan nor the report that she claims to have. We have no way of knowing if Mandy_44’s allegations hold any truth, or are a fabrication so that she can extort money from us. If we were able to see these for ourselves, it would certainly go a long way to help establish the facts and help towards finding a resolution.

I suggest you ask your indemnifiers how they feel about you posting on a public forum about a patients treatment, presumably without their permission.
The fact that you are referring to her only by her nickname is irrelevant as it is still specific to her and therefore identifyable. Confidentiality rules still apply even though she went public first. Might seem unfair but thats the way it goes,

I personally would be careful with dealing with any company happy to get into public mudslinging, medical dental or otherwise

Thank you so much for pointing it out. Don't you think this is absoultely disgusting that this Agent is breaching my confidentiality and talking about all my medical records. Good customer service don't you think so?? I am pretty sure the GDM council will be very pleased to see this. People would you really like a slinging match in a publice forum. I have the freedom of the internet to discuss what I like. I gave a honest review of my treatment. I do not expect to be harrassed and stalked by you Agnes money grabbing liar.

This disgusting woman is accusing me of wanting MONEY from them. I am so glad these accusations are in this public forum. Would you seriously want to go with them for treatment.?

Not only did they ignore my months of pain they will not reimburse me for the teeth that I have now to lose.

And, now I have to put up with her hounding me because she is so desperate commisson wise she has no shame.
