Panicking about car

I am really starting to panic about the OR taking our car now. We have a Renault 03 plate worth around the £2000 mark. We purchased it in May when our business failed and the company cars which were leased were returned. It is the only form of transport we have to tale our 2 children to school which is 4.5 miles away and would involve 2 bus journeys each way, as we live in a village and only have hourly bus service would have to leave our house at 7.50 to get them to school for 9am. Our sons are 4 & 6 and would be extra hard on them as the 6 year is autistic but only receives low rate mobility allowance and is not statemented. They would not get home till 5pm! We need a car with a large boot for ds(6) disability stroller.

Dh also has to travel over 400 miles to collect and deliver his son every other weekend. He is also looking for work and a car is a vital.

we are going BR in worcester if that is any help

Is the car necessary for work?

I think if you mention to the OR exactly what you've said above (don't mention that there's a bus unless asked though) you should be fine keeping your car.

Please don't take it as gospel, but personally I think the odds are stacked in your favour with your circumstances.

    Cheers

Don't ignore a problem. Unlike a bad smell, it won't eventually go away.
  • Thanks. I am suffering with last minute panics, hubby keeps teeling me to calm down, but I am not wired that way.

I imagine between now and BR extreme random ramblings will be posted.:o

Dont worry they cant shoot you for going BR,otherwise millions of us would be dead.
