OR interview over

Hi all,

Had my telephone interview with the OR this morning.
He basically went through each asset and debt asking questions where he needed more information. Most debt related questions were about the when and why, nothing complicated but most of my replies were educated guesses as I had no firms dates.

He asked about my car's value (£900) and what I use it for, to which I replied I use it for shopping and to take my wife to and from work. He also accepted her as the joint owner even though it is registered in my name (I did mention the money to buy it was withdrawn from our joint account). He then asked if I would need the car to look for work and I said yes, he followed by saying the car may be exempted for this reason, but would call me later in the day to confirm. He did call back about an hour later and to my surprise said the car is exempt. I think I am lucky in this respect after reading the experiences of some others in this forum (sympathies Flowerpot :o).

Overall the interview lasted about 50 minutes, the OR was very pleasant and completely non-judgemental, and said to call him anytime if I have questions. He also said I would receive a letter regarding the house and buying the BI in the near future.

I was happy to get the day in court out of the way but the relief I felt after putting the phone down today was incredible. I felt such a weight had been lifted, I guess I never realised just how anxious I have been this last week. I truly feel like a new man and whilst there is still work to do I am now looking forward to the future.

Many thanks once again to all that have helped me through this.

Thanks Antarctica. How are things for you? You've been on the debt-free wagon for a month or so haven't you?
