Copying an Engagement Ring design?

Dear Experts!,
I am currently looking for an Engagement Ring and I've found one that i really like the design of....but.....its in a high street shop and therefore doesnt really seem to be good value for money!
The ring is on the beaverbrooks website - item number DB5276
Price £1500.00 for 0.54 carat, Colour G, Clarity SI 1.
Ive seen loads of rings with much better spec diamonds for literally half the price.....but the setting is always not quite the same as the one above (i like the way the stones on the band are spaced out).
Do you think it would be possible for someone to copy this design for me, but make it a lot cheaper/better value?
Any links/ recommendations greatly appreciated!

That's a really lovely ring. I'm sure a ring specialist shop would be able to make it for you. I know of a lovely shop in my town, Barnstaple, that has a shop called Catherine Bishop who makes LOVELY rings! And they'll make any design you like. You'll probably save about £1000 on it.

If you don't mind 2nd hand you could try ebay. My ring costs £1200 in Beaverbrooks but I got it for £400 inc insurance. It was 1 size too small and Beaverbrooks charged £30 to adjust it and clean it and it came back looking the same as the ones on display. Was well chuffed. :beer:0

my first thoughts are - does the listing of 0.54cts mean just the 4 central stones (ie each about 0.135cts) or all 8 in the ring (0.0675ct each) i guess the former.
second is how are the 4 diamonds held in, other than by the 4 outer corners. and is it durable long term.2009 wins: Signed Saxon CD, Solar Torch, Drumsticks, Priest Feast Tix, Watch, Hammerfest tix :beer:0 -
I would say that the 0.54cts is the total weight of the diamonds not that they are 0.54 each.
Daventry Dave - get yourself over to the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham as you will be able to get something made for less and maybe better quality. They are brilliant there and I have even had earrings made from a drawing that I did and I am certainly no artist:rotfl:0 -
I broguht my other halfs engement ring in Turkey (much better value for money). I found a ring I liked which cost 15,000 and they copied it with just a smaller diamond, costs about £1500. I have had it valued over here and its worth double what I paid

Might be worth a flight over there lol0
