Clinique glosswear for lips

I recently found an old lipgloss and started wearing it again, I like it cos its a bit lipsticky rather than glossy so its a change for me and it doesn't dry my lips out although its doesn't taste great, this is why I stopped wearing it in the first place, I didn't like the taste from new but the colour is great, heres my problem, I had a look on the Clinique site for another formulation of this colour or even the same formulation but cant find either:confused:I also admit that the product I have is at least 3 years old:eek:

The product I am looking for is Clinique Glosswear for lips in Nude Nectar shade 13, its fair to say that I haven't yet been to the Clinique counter only online, its a bit of a treck for me to get to a counter but I would go if I was in the area anyway which I will be in a couple of weeks so does anyone have any suggestions in the meantime?

Any ideas anyone?, the shade is a light/mid dull pink with beige/brown undertones, it has a light creamy consistency with no shimmer or sparkle and comes in a glass tube with a sponge tipped wand, in the beauty industry it would be known as a MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade:)

  • As an alternative, Chanel Aqualumiere has the perfect nude shades for roughly the same price. The gloss lasts all day and isn't gloopy either.

    I've been Money Tipped!
glowgirl, I don't know about this one but I always find clinique to have the best MLBB shades. IMO, its worth a look at the counter: my best MLBB is actually a sheer lipstick from clinique, not a gloss, but its just perfect. IMO Clinique gloss do always have a less nice ''taste'', but their lipsticks are fine. (I have a simialr sounding gloss which is not used up for the same reason.)

I thought I would update this thread because I went shopping to my nearest big town today and went to the Clinique counter, to say the SA was offhand and rude would be an understatement but anyway she went through the lipglosses and lipsticks with me and yes the one I was after is discontinued and nothing else even came close, I wouldn't of bought from her anyway even if there was one I liked. I went to the Chanel counter and the shades were too brown based or too pink (bright) and the Dior counter everything similar was too pale and had sparkle, but the Chanel SA was lovely and suggested I tried MAC which I was going to do anyway, at MAC I found an almost perfect match and it came in a plumping formula so I am very happy, it tastes like kids sweets and cost £14, here is the link http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT4727&PRODUCT_ID=PROD71031 its the Ample Pink shade at the bottom left:) As lovely as the Chanel and Mac girls were I did notice that they were less than groomed and their make up was far from inspiring, I know its hot and busy but when I did their job years ago we had to look perfect no matter what, just a little comment on what was actually a really good shopping day, and they still looked a lot better than the Clinique woman who had it trowlled on and still looked a state and she looked my 14 year old daughter up and down:confused:

Just a thought as you've got your new lippy but there are two of your original lipgloss for sale on Ebay currently.
