I would sell up tomorrow and move into the newer council houses.
Two beds, two bathrooms, dining room with french windows, modern kitchen and decent sized garden with driveway. All for the princely sum of 65 quid a week, fully maintained and your rent paid if your boss finds you out and sacks you.
I can only dream...............
Can I come & move in those too?
I'm happy with my 2 bedrooms, but I would love a second bathroom:D0 -

Talking of Crawley (as you mentioned it a few posts above) they have finally been approved for a whole new neighbourhood to the west of Bewbush - building to start in late 2010. I would love to pick up a nice new council house here, but I ain't got a chance.0 -

3 room apartment = 2 bed house. Nice!
No it's not 3 room apartment - it's 3 apartment house/flat (each apartment is a room) I know - it's a bit daft that the terminology is different up there - but you do get used to it, if I remember rightly - if say you needed 4 bedrooms and they had a 5 apartment (3 bed/living room/separate dining room) you would be expected to utilise the dining room as sleeping accommodation. Ofcourse that was quite a few years ago - and it may have changed since then.0
