Part of the Furniture I've been Money Tipped!
I would advise people to type the address themselves, rather than going through the link from here.

Whathifi, like Stuff.tv don't like compers
  • As Consulting Editor, whathifi.com, I can assure users that far from 'not liking compers' we stick to the letter of the law by ensuring our competitions are both open to, and winnable by, anyone.

I'm at a loss to understand why walwin makes the comment he/she does, and if the implication is that we monitor the referring site from which entrants access the competition entry page when running these competitions, please be assured that we use no such mechanism.

So please use the link provided by the OP with confidence.
  • Mr Everard, may I point you towards number 14 in your Terms and Conditions:

14: Spammers, Compers, and any entries made through a third party will be disqualified.

I won with Stuff last year entering via this site. Organisations would be mad to stop entries via this method as the whole point of competitions is to attract people to their sites. I constantly visit sites now that I have found through comping.

And to Mr Everard, great sites and competitions - thanks

I am the same - I've found so many brilliant sites through comping - however, when the T&C's specifically state that compers will be disqualified, we are naturally going to be wary ;)

  • Wasn't aware of that item 14, which is not set by the editorial team but by a different part of the company handling our promotions.

Not sure how we'd even enforce that rule(!), but I will look into it and report back.

Sorry for any confusion caused, but as I said above, I'm not aware of any mechanism for detecting the source of inbound links, and as far as I am concerned the competition is open to all.
