Pudding inspiration needed!

My husband and kids love their puddings (I quite like them too, but I could go without). Husband has always been like that, the kids weren't until they started having school dinners and got into the habit of having puddings afterwards.
Husband tends to buy multipacks of ice cream cones (own brand cornettos). I try to give the kids yoghurt or fruit, but quite understandably they want ice cream like dad!
What I would like to do is make puddings that we can all eat together. I tend to make stuff on a Sunday and have the leftovers on a Monday, things like crumbles, trifles, bread and butter pudding, strawberries and cream etc. But I would like to make stuff during the week too, possibly on a Tuesday and a Thursday with leftovers on Wednesday and Friday.
It needs to be not too expensive, not take too long to make (I don't mind long cooking times or chilling times, just not too much effort in the actual making), not full of additives, preferably with a bit of fruit in (if they're having pud I feel it should contribute towards their 5 a day!) and something that everyone from 3 to 43 will eat.
As many ideas as possible would be appreciated!

How about roasted fruit -
a couple each of apples, pears, peaches/nectarines, and a few plums slice them (skins on and stoned/pipped) chuck them in a roasting tin with a sprinkling of sugar and a little cinnamon if you like it. Cook on about gas 4 or 5 until the fruit is tender and the juice is coming out of the plums. The plums really give it a bit of lovely syrup. We have it with a dollop of greek yoghurt/fromage frais/natural yoghurt or what ever we have in. It's good hot or cold.
I buy my fruit in Sainsburys and use their Basics range - so not too expensive.0 -
you'll find a few ideas listed under '[STRIKE]Sweets[/STRIKE]' 'Puddings' in the Complete Cooking Collection - its definitely worth checking out the School days recipe thread which is listed there
and a few more pudding in the Grocery Challenge Recipe list in post #6; this list is updated through the month and can be found on the front page of each month's GC
hth
edited to add - also a few recipes including steam pudding on the Microwave Recipes thread
edited to change 'Sweets' to 'Puddings' in the first para - been tidying up the Complete Cookery Collection - the 'Sweets' section is now home made sweets as in fudge, coconut ice etc... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
