stiff material

Options
Hey, not sure if anyone can help. I recently bought a tunic (well, a month back), and have now realised the material is a bit stiff. It sticks out a bit from waist downwards. Does anyone have any idea of what i can do to soften the material and then it just sits???

i am a die hard dress maker and for instances like this i always wash the item then if its not too delicate, treat it like !!!!!!. While its wet twist it in to a sausage shape then tie in a loose not if possible. When its almost dry, unravel it, hang it out to dry, give it a good misting with a plant sprayer and let it dry. Once ironed it almost ALWAYS looses its stiffness.

Could you try adding vinegar instead of fabric conditioner? Once it is out of the machine, put it on a hanger and then use clothes pegs to`pin` it in position so it will dry evenly.
