Accountants Help re tax back

Is there any accountants out there that could tell if you could claim back any tax if you work away from home on a vessel for 160 days a year, one of my husbands collegues has told him that he could claim back some tax all a bit cloudy any ideas if this is correct????

at the moment theres not enough info to go on, but I think 160 days doesn't cover itHe's not an accountant - he's a charlatan0 -
