:mad: Just phoned three Clinton Stores and the first two knew nothing about the promotion and the third said that it had ended this morning due to demand!!! How frustrating!!!:(

Went in the 1st Clintons in city centre today-told me the deal had been pulled as was too populer.

Went in 2nd Clintons-offer details still up, wouldn't go through the till. i stood smiling sweetly and they came to the conclusion that yes the deal had ended, but as the POS info was still up they had to sell to me for that price. Took 20 minutes whie they figured out how to fudge the till, but managed to get 2 at £20, just!

All POS removed in front of my eyes!

Has ended in all 3 Reading stores due to the high demand. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought offers were to SELL items?? How bizzare...

I bought 6 cards at Gallion's Reach store in east London yesterday, no posters or anything but the till did take off the discount automatically. They seemed to have plenty of stock left too.

I also enjoyed playing with my new Tom Tom for iPhone today, bargain...

I called the Clintons store in Birstall last night to check offer was OK and that they had them in stock which they did, so I went in at 10am this morning, took 8 cards to the till but it didn't apply the discount. Turns out they pulled this offer last night by email due to unprecedented demand, but the manager didn't realise until I tried to buy these cards this morning.

They tried telling me there was nothing they could do, but as I quickly pointed out, they were still displaying all the circular boards with the offer on it so they had to honour it. It took half an hour for her to sort it out with HQ, which she did by means of selling the cards to me at full price and then refunding me £40.

That's what happened here too... I've never seen someone go up and down a ladder so quickly in my life lol!

To be fair, they don't have to honour the offer. It's an 'invitation to treat' only. In giving it to those of you who managed to still get it, it was a good will symbol.

I'm quiet upset by this promotion being pulled as it was my only reason for going downtown, it's lucky I enquired about the promo before I purchased the cards, but still I thought I was on to a winner.
