I've just discovered a way of saving a few bob with GUS, although it will only work with sale items.
For instance, if you put the catalogue code BQ3856 into the search, you get a waistcoat for £30.
If you enter B3856, then it's magically reduced to £18 saving £12.
All you have to do is choose your catalogue item, then leave out the 2nd letter in the code and the cheapest available version comes up.
You can find the waistcoat in the discount section anyway, so you are in no way playing the system or anything, but if you were just browsing through the catalogue and liked something, then you would automatically enter that code and then be charged the higher price.
Worth a try if you are a customer ... again, it only works with items already on sale, there is no scam here, just a bit of advice

Strange ... I was flicking through the catalogue yesterday and first I got it to £30.
Thinking back, what I did was enter a few codes on the 'quick order' page and that was when it charged me full price.
I'd say just double check then when you use quick order.0
