French Loan
Comments
-
I have not paid it because I have no recollection of it.
French law is quite strict about debt ie if you bounce a cheque it is a serious matter so i can not for the life of me think how I have taken this loan out as they say and not paid it back.
I have been fortunate enough to never have been in debt before (apart from my mortgage) and this is really worrying me, especially since they are now phoning and demanding I pay it back immediately.0 -
Does sound a tad suspicious to me ...
Personally i'd contact them and officially request a copy of the original credit agreement.
Have a look here for template letters http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=963087&highlight=credit+agreement+request
Obviously alter the relevant details accordingly, and send via signed for delivery. This should help you get to the bottom of it.
Hope this helps

There must be an embassy or a consulate that you can phone. They will be able to tell you the law regading this.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
