Can anyone recommend any over the counter sleeping tablets?
Something that would make you sleep on a flight.
Don't think i need to go to doctors as i dont have a serious problem, just would be helpful to knock me out for the flight!

Nytol. They do a herbal version or there's one that they keep behind the counter. Usually takes effect within half an hour of swallowing the pill.0

I found Nytol of no use to me
Try these, not over the counter but available on the internet,

Boots own brand Sleepeazy 50mg works a treat for me, but you can't be on any other medication I think.
You get it over the pharmacy counter.0 -
Not sleeping tablets but an over the counter painkiller Syndol will knock you out quicker than a whack over the nut. You have to ask for it as it's behind the counter rather than on the shelves.0

I'd be cautious of buying any pills over the net. As for Nytol, the one they keep behind the counter is much more effective.Syndol will knock you out quicker than a whack over the nut.
That made me chuckle! :rotfl:0 -

You might find it's all you need to knock you out if you don't usually have any trouble sleeping normally.0 -
Also worth considering are some anti-histamine tablets. The ones you take once in 24 hours aren't supposed to cause drowsiness, but if you go for the ones you take every eight hours you will sleep like a wee baby. Piriton is a good make.
Can you tell I suffered from chronic insomnia for about five years, lol...I learnt a lot of tricks just to get a couple of hours shut eye. Half a bottle of whiskey is also useful though they mightn't let you on the plane, but you probably won't realise.0
