  • I've sent for one for my boyfriend which he will love but I doubt he will be able to put it up. He lives in London and there if you put an England flag up they see it as a racist attack!!

Well im Asian, I live just outside London, I've ordered and its not racist!

I think the poster was probably thinking more of a Union Jack rather than an England flag.
Not that flying the Union Jack is racist, but I know where she's coming from. The flag was and still is hijacked by many right wing groups, if I walked down my local high street in a Union Jack t-shirt I can imagine some people thinking i'm NF or BNP.
Thankfully the St.Georges cross is not thought of in the same way :)

Dobbie - why on Earth do you bother to waste your time if you don't have anything nice to say about England then make yourself useful elsewhere?!

Just wondering if you are like other Scots, and live in that terrible place called England??

I am British and proud of my British roots which encompass all of the British Isles.

Go on England bring the Cup home.

Best of luck to all Home Nations team for the Euro 2008! :T

You'll be surprised - at uni - a lot of my friends associated my union jack flag with NF / BNP (and would joke with me about it) - It's a shame that these right wing groups have created this perception.

I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.

Why do Americans sing "Take me out to the ball game" when they
    are already there?

Well I think those at University who think like that are flaming idiots. I was fed up with those narrow minded fools, who always thought "I'm at Uni so I am broad minded!" while I was there. You should them that matie. How stupid do they sound!?

What a load of tosh, that the Union Flag is associated in this way, for these narrow minded bunch of @%*!# They help create the perception.

The Union Jack, on HM Warships, was one symbol that aided to abolish The World Trade in Slavery on the high seas - so let's use the Flag in how it is meant to be used, with Pride and Passion, and not associated with a bunch of @%~* BNP/NF supporters who probably have Viking or French blood in them anyway (if you go back far enough! :rotfl: )

It's our Flag so let's fly it for what we want it to mean in a positive manner, Fairness, Freedom and god damn it Great Britain!

Who remembers the Jubilee in 2002! What a great sight! :j
