Good Morning!
I have an interview today at 11am and the job spec says the salary is between £14000 and £18000. I am at present on £16000 so don,t really want to drop any, is it ok to ask about it? If so when, I don't want to appear money grabbing, should I just wait to see how I get on.
Any help appreciated
Regards ML

Wait until you get a job offer, then be prepared to negotiate straight away. It is usual practice to offer at least the equivalent to your current salary. Check when the next increment is, check annual leave and other benefits against your current role, but only negotiate at the point that an offer is made0

Good luck! I usually ask, but didn't at the latest job as even their lowest was 6k more than I was on!0

I would only talk about salary if they approach the subject.
If they like you and make an offer I would then negotiate.0 -
they usually tell you, don't ask0

If the interview is through an agency they will negotiate for you. Just concentrate on getting the job!!

The only time I asked was when I was in the interview and the interviewer said there would not be second interviews, he was going to decide based on only one and there was no mention of salary range in the advert for the position. I didn't want to waste his time if the range was below what I was looking for.0

Proper interviewer asks how much would you be expecting or how much are you on now.
There shouldn't be a need to ask straight out at the first interview. Hopefully there won't.
Good luck0
