Hiya folks, you only have to read the paper or look in the shops to notice that TV’s have never been so cheap. My query is before I go out and buy one is what will happen in a year or so time when analogue is turned off. Will we all have to go out and buy Freeveiw or sky or will these not be compatible. Basically what I’m asking are we all getting good deals or are the shops just selling them cheap because they’ll be no good shortly once the turnoff has happened.
If the Freeview boxes are the answer then should we be buying them now before prices go sky high, and will we need one for each TV in the house?

No reliance should be placed on the above.

There selling them cheap partly because flat thin plasma/lcd tvs are taking over. Analogue won't be switched off for some time (2010 I think). Freeview boxes won't go sky high.0

you are pretty much guaranteed to always be able to plug something in the back to keep it up to date. Just make sure any TV you get has got at least one scart on the back and it will be alright!0

What you need is enough Scarts with RGB ability for all the digital sources - Sky, Freeview, DVD - that you use.0
